“I really don’t know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it’s because in addition to the fact that the sea changes, and the light changes, and ships change, it’s because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea – whether it is to sail or to watch it – we are going back from whence we came. -JFK
It is the simple recognition of a lost or overlooked memory that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand and quiver. I’m immediately transported through some kind of brain tunnel where I come to clearing. Did I just wake up? Is it dusk or is it dawn? My fingers swell and tingle, and I can hear my ears ring until it stops and there is a slow fade in of cashmere electro beats, conversation, laughter—and it feels good in my ears. I watch the vibrations as they radiate and groove off of me. I feel the universe relax & take a deep breath. My senses are elevated and in tune. The energy feels as though the day is starting; the glittering of golden spreads across the sea. I’m the waves in the ocean—I inhale deep and exhale hard like the crashing tide. I touch the tips of my fingers together slowly, one by one until my palms are touching and look up into the sun. I feel gratitude- I feel universal connection.
— thank you.
